Janna Kumi is a Canadian artist based in Metro Vancouver. She studied natural resource management and forestry, working for over 30 years in senior management positions in British Columbia.  In 2006 she began part-time fine art studies at Emily Carr University and then completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of British Columbia in 2015. Since then, her art practice has evolved into a unique body of work comprised of mostly drawings and mixed media works centered mainly upon the tree – specifically, the bark.

Jennifer creates abstract paintings using collaged hand-painted and printed fabrics or papers. In recent years she has become more and more enthralled with the possibilities inherent in monoprinting with a gel plate, which she combines with a myriad of different techniques and tools to create her unique papers and fabrics. She has exhibited widely in BC and regularly teaches workshops.

Featured for the month of July. Fibre Arts, weavings and poetry, telling stories of lost love, friendships and memories. Natasha Boškić lives and works in Vancouver. She moved to Canada from war-torn Serbia in 1999. A long history of family storytelling, traditions and legends as well as her personal life experience and current times have shaped and directed Natasha’s craft.

Dave Brewin has been an artist at heart since he was very young, first learning the artistry of wooden boatbuilding, then a professional photographer and abstract painter. Reintroduced to the wood lathe in 2022, he began creating unique vessels with wood, found materials and food safe epoxy resin.

DEB is a published photographer living and working on Bowen Island. she has created her signature line of jewellery with semi-precious stones and beads, carefully hand-picking each gem from special places across the globe. Each is hand-crafted and tells its own story.
