Her passion for crafting began in Turkey, where she learned handmade techniques from her grandmother. Over time, she blended these skills with her background in design, which gave her a unique design perspective.

Her Canadian partner, Reid, has always been the one encouraging and supporting her creativity. With his motivation, Zeynep took the step to start her own brand in Vancouver — and that’s how Blackarz was born.
