Founded by Thiago Ramirez, Ybyrá Designs celebrates the art of woodworking and the serene beauty of Bowen Island. With roots in Brazil̶where "Ybyrá" (*ee-bee-rah*) means tree in the Tupi language̶ and a passion for working with wood, Thiago crafts one-of-a-kind pieces using locally sourced Canadian materials. The process of creating these objects is, for Thiago, a meditative experience̶an ever-evolving journey of practice, research, and humbling moments. Each creation is deeply inspired by the natural surroundings of Bowen Island and a connection to sustainability.
