Laura Tisdale
Laura is a graphite artist residing in Clearwater, British Columbia where she was born and raised. Laura has been an artist for as long as she can remember; she was inspired by her father’s talents as a cartoonist and raised in a household that nurtured and supported her natural abilities. A graduate from Thompsons Rivers University, Kamloops BC, with a Diploma in Fine Arts, Laura has spent years refining her craft and exploring the many ways art can express emotion, movement and light. Her recent six piece wildlife collection was a labor of love spanning three years, they reflect her dedication to detail and her connection to the natural world. Laura’s work is known for its striking realism; each piece begins with the eyes, this is where she believes the soul of the subject lives and from there she builds life into every line and shadow. For Laura, art is more than a practice; it’s a lifelong passion and outlet for creativity and reflection, a way to capture fleeting light and transform it into something enduring.
