As with most things I create, I go for a rustic, organic look, and my jewelry is no different. I work mainly with Sterling Silver and Copper, and most finished pieces are what would be called ‘Statement Pieces’.  I incorporate all types of the Earth’s gemstones in many of them, and particularly love working with Agates. I try to let the stone dictate the outcome of the design and I rarely sit down to make something with a finished product in mind.

Inspired by the beauty of my surroundings, my love of wood, and all things handmade, came ‘Schooner Lane Designs’ collection of 'Board out of my Mind’ ~ Cheese+Chopping+Serving boards.

The boards I make are unique one-of-a-kinds — each one is freehand cut and shaped from a single piece of Canadian hardwood that’s been specifically chosen for its beauty and rustic characteristics.

Sanded by hand and finished with a locally made beeswax and mineral oil compound — they become a piece of functional art that’s made to be enjoyed for many years to come.
