Kamila Bubnikova

Kamila is a self-taught artist working primarily with acrylic, watercolour, and mixed media. Originally from Prague, she moved to Vancouver in 2014 and has called Bowen Island home since 2019.

Her creative process is intuitive and playful, shaped by stories, the invisible threads between us all, nature, and the quiet magic of everyday life. She sees art as a language that connects people of all ages and backgrounds, allowing us to feel and understand in ways that go beyond cognitive thought.

Kamila has followed her creative curiosity through courses, workshops, and personal exploration—always painting what resonates most. In recent years, creating alongside her young daughter has only deepened her love for the process, making art not just an expression, but a shared way of being.

Her intention is to invite viewers to pause, reflect, and feel.
