Andrew Plewes is a second generation graduate of the Ontario College of Art. He has been a working illustrator for over 35 years, working in many media, styles and subject matter, his work appearing in packaging, readers, magazines and children’s books.

His paintings are inspired by the impressionists, the Group of Seven, classic children’s book illustrators and art nouveau poster artists. He has lived on Bowen for 20+ years. He paints in acrylic.
