Libby Beck

Libby Beck is a Vancouver artist with deep roots

on Bowen Island, working in both ceramics and

visual arts. Known for her bright, joyful use of

colour, her work is inspired by the natural beauty

of gardens, skies, and coastal landscapes, translated

into intuitive, freeform patterns on canvas and clay.

Libby studied Foundation Art at Richmond Upon

Thames College in London, England, and later

attended Emily Carr University in Vancouver.

While living on Bowen Island, she established a

home-based studio and spent over 20 years selling

her work at markets across BC, including Granville

Island Market in Vancouver and the Filberg

Festival in Comox.

Today, Libby continues to create vibrant pottery

and paintings, always guided by colour, intuition,

and the joy her art brings to others.
